Greetings from IIT Bombay!
Prof. Kavi Arya (Computer Science & Engg. Dept., IIT Bombay) is the Principal Investigator of e-Yantra (https://www.e-yantra.org), a robotics outreach project hosted at IIT Bombay and funded under NMEICT* by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
e-Yantra complements conventional engineering education in India by "Project-Based Learning (PBL)" to train young engineers to build systems solving real problems. This year e-Yantra has spread its attention overseas to provide a platform for young engineers to engage with each other through competition mode.
The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is a flagship initiative of the e-Yantra project, organized annually for Engineering & Technical students. It's actually a robotic MOOC that teaches skills in Embedded Systems, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Control Systems, Functional Programming, Image Processing and other contemporary areas. Participating teams are allotted "themes" that are abstractions of real-world problems. Themes are allotted in a selection process taking into account participants' skills and parent discipline.
This year e-Yantra has opened registrations for students internationally. We solicit your help in reaching out to your students. We believe this is a compelling way to connect students across the world in the spirit of competition.

Over the past 9 years, e-Yantra Robotics Competition has seen
exponential growth in the number of registrations from around 4500
registrations in 2012 to 34,500 - only in India. The competition runs
over 6-7 months during which participating teams work under the expert
guidance of e-Yantra mentors. Prizes are cash and a coveted 6-week
summer internship at IIT Bombay.

This year e-Yantra has opened registrations for students internationally. We solicit your help in reaching out to your students. We believe this is a compelling way to connect students across the world in the spirit of competition.
Participation requires one to be a full-time student of an
undergraduate program in a polytechnic, engineering college or
university. The competition requires only a basic knowledge of
programming - e-Yantra trains students (online) from scratch in the
competition.
Prizes and benefits for students include e-Yantra (IIT Bombay) Certificates, 6-Weeks Paid Internships at IIT Bombay, Cash Prizes, e-Yantra Goodies, etc.
