The Faculty of Engineering at SLIIT is proud to
announce that ROBOFEST is back. This year we plan to take the challenge
into virtual platforms while still allowing teams to apply their
engineering and coding knowledge in a set of unique and exciting tasks.
The event will be held remotely with teams completing tasks on a virtual
robotic platform and submitting their work. The finals will be streamed
on various SLIIT media outlets and the teams will be invited to take
part remotely. The final event might also involve
the manipulation of a physical robotic arm to complete a physical task,
remotely. (Possibility of this task will depend on the lockdown/health
situation at the time)
The final for ROBOFEST 2021 is set for the 30th of September 2021 but the registrations for the screening rounds are now open. Teams can register at
http://www.robofest.lk/register/. Registrations close on the 12th of September. Please encourage your students to sign up as soon as possible and to get started on the screening tasks.
